1920s Art Deco Flapper Wig
This is another very rare 1920's wig from an unique private collection from France we were able to obtain after many years, This is a stunning sea blue colored fine raffia flapper wig. On top of this wig beautiful piece of jewelry which gives a stunning combination with the wig's special blue color there aren't many left in the world today, you can either find them in museums or in private collections. they were quite an hit in the roaring twenties . they are so rare, if you google these wigs you maybe find just a few of them in museums or in past sales. One of the finest and most elegant wig cloches to be found, the wig is woven from very thin and a fine sort of raffia threads into the classic hairdo of the 1920’s Flapper period, complete with finger waves all over and pinned up curls at the back, off white colored and a mysterious blue-ish finish. Can you imagine who did wear this wig once and what a lovely dress she must have had combined with this wig. A very rare treasure from the roaring twenties in superb condition and even still wearable. it is woven on a silk/cotton cap. These kind of wigs were an hype during the 1920's, they became very popular and also well known as a "bad hair day " wig. They came in many different versions but there aren't many left these days. you can find them only in private collections or museums. This wig is also coming from a private collection and considered as a beautiful treasure from the past, a real museum piece.
